Government is BROKE but keeps spending

Now why can't I keep spending even when i am broke? I am feeling like this is all very one sided...first the government wants to spend what they/we don't have and the ACLU says in CA the prisoners aren't treated fairly and they are now going to get$14,000 in medical care a year, yoga and aroma therapy- well shit let me go to Cali freaking fornia and go commit a crime so I can have life a little easier too! UH DUH they are there because they "F" up and are suppose to be paying for their crimes not for a lap of luxury.

Government Is Broke But Keeps On Spending & Hiring-- Average Pay $75,419

The US Government is broke but keeps on hiring and spending.
The Washington Examiner reported, via Instapundit:

“Even today, with Obama just beginning to manage the government, Geithner’s Treasury department must offer higher interest rates on bonds it sells to finance planned deficits because bondholders worry about Washington’s future repayment ability if taxes are not soon hugely increased. But those increases would kill economic growth, sending government revenues spiraling downward and eventually leaving Washington only one choice – repudiation of debt or bankruptcy. Either way, American prosperity will be a distant memory for generations to come. Intervention cannot come too soon.”
But, even though the US Government is broke it hasn't stopped it from hiring.
And, the average pay for a federal worker will leap from $72,800 in 2008 to $75,419 next year.
That's "average" pay.
In 2007, the median annual household income was $50,233.00 according to the Census Bureau.
CBS News reported:

President Obama's call last year for "shared sacrifice" doesn't extend to federal employees, at least based on the details of his administration's 2010 budget released this week.

At a time when the official unemployment rate is nearing double digits, and 6.35 million people are receiving unemployment benefits, the U.S. government is on a hiring binge.

Executive branch employment — 1.98 million in 2009, excluding the Postal Service and the Defense Department — is set to increase by 15.6 percent for the 2010 fiscal year. Most of that is thanks to the Census Bureau hiring 102,000 temporary workers, but not counting them still yields a net increase of 2 percent in one year.

There's little belt-tightening in evidence in Washington, D.C.: Counting benefits, the average pay per federal worker will leap from $72,800 in 2008 to $75,419 next year.
It's really no surprise then that the Washington DC counties top the list as the nation's richest counties.

CLOSING LOOPHOLES

As expected, the Obama administration revealed more changes to the tax code yesterday. Remember that it had to find ways to come up with more tax revenue because it miscalculated how expensive it is going to be for the government to bring healthcare to the people! One of the many ways the government plans to get more of your money is by closing tax loopholes for all those evil rich people ....

A senior administration official says, The proposals "take on what we believe are a series of unjustifiable loopholes, unjustifiable tax breaks that we simply cannot afford."

That who cannot afford? The imperial federal government? Is it entitled to this money that is earned by you, the taxpayers? What they are really saying is that this money belongs to us .. and we just can't afford to let the people who earned it keep it. We'll let them keep just enough to keep them working. Are you starting to "get it" folks?

THIS SHOULD SCARE THE TAR OUT OF YOU

The government will have to borrow nearly 50 cents for every dollar it spends this year.

Borrowing implies that it will one day be paid back. With interest. Actually, it has to be paid off. Much of that debt is owned by foreign governments. That debt will have to be repaid. Some of the debt is held by Americans ... and the government can easily just ignore that. After all ... the government owns us. We work at the pleasure and for the pleasure of the political class. Whatever wealth we produce, they own. In their infinite wisdom they'll allow you to keep just enough of your wealth to encourage you to keep working so that you can keep funding them. It will be the same for your children and your grandchildren. There's a huge multi-trillion debt to be paid ... thank goodness the government has the assets to cover that debt. Your children.

DID THIS GUY GET IT RIGHT OR WHAT?

George Will had another excellent column over the weekend, and a listener brought this paragraph of that column to my attention.

In "Democracy in America," Alexis de Tocqueville anticipated people being governed by "an immense, tutelary power" determined to take "sole charge of assuring their enjoyment and of watching over their fate." It would be a power "absolute, attentive to detail, regular, provident and gentle," aiming for our happiness but wanting "to be the only agent and the sole arbiter of that happiness." It would, Tocqueville said, provide people security, anticipate their needs, direct their industries and divide their inheritances. It would envelop society in "a network of petty regulations -- complicated, minute and uniform." But softly: "It does not break wills; it softens them, bends them, and directs them" until people resemble "a herd of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd."

Read it a couple of times. When you fully understand what de Tocqueville wrote find a government-educated friend and try to explain it to them. If you REALLY want a challenge find someone who voted for Obama - and has not come to regret that vote - and see if you can explain it to them.

The Obama Deception

Very interesting. you'll probably make a government list by watching this...So let me know what ya think? If you're on the Obama bandwagon I doubt you'll watch the film below. Keep in mind, this isn't about Right vs. Left, this is about Right vs. Wrong. Like Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter and every President before him, Obama answers to the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberg Group. In fact, Obama himself is a member of the shadiest corporation owned lobbyist group in the United States, the Council on Foreign Relations.
If you are unaware of these groups I challenge you to do a Google a search. It's time to start asking questions and stop accepting the authority as truth rather than the truth as authority!

At least click and watch the first two minutes and see what you're missing. You are going to be floored. This is a non-profit film released recently. Be a patriot and forward this Bulletin! Thanks!

Parental Rights and gun owners read

Parental Rights Amendment to Protect Gun Owners’ Rights

May 12, 2009

ParentalRights.org today released The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child: The Impact on Private Gun-Ownership in America, a carefully considered legal analysis of the impact this United Nations treaty will have on Americans’ Second Amendment Rights. In it, author Michael Farris, J.D., establishes that ratification of the UNCRC poses a significant threat to the right of the American people to keep and bear arms:

  • The U.N. believes all children have a right to grow up in a community without guns.
  • The U.N. holds that the UNCRC is applicable to this issue.
  • They also hold that the idea that guns are beneficial is itself harmful to children.
  • The UN believes guns should never be accessible to children.

Read the full article here. Also, be sure to pass this on to any friends and family members who value their Second Amendment rights.

I am more grateful now than before to be a resident of Montana...hopefully Texas follows MT and gets their state law passed concerning gun laws.

Montana gun law targets states’ rights clash

Montana is trying to trigger a battle over gun control – and perhaps make a larger point about what many folks in this ruggedly independent state regard as a meddlesome federal government.

In a bill passed by the Legislature earlier this month, the state is asserting that guns manufactured in Montana and sold in Montana to people who intend to keep their weapons in Montana are exempt from federal gun registration, background check and dealer-licensing rules because no state lines are crossed.

That notion is all but certain to be tested in court.

The immediate effect of the law could be limited, since Montana is home to just a few specialty gun makers, known for high-end hunting rifles and replicas of Old West weapons, and because their out-of-state sales would automatically trigger federal control.

Still, much bigger prey lies in Montana’s sights: a legal showdown over how far the federal government’s regulatory authority extends.

“It’s a gun bill, but it’s another way of demonstrating the sovereignty of the state of Montana,” said Democratic Gov. Brian Schweitzer, who signed the bill.

Carrie DiPirro, a spokeswoman for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, had no comment on the legislation. But the federal government has argued that it has authority under the interstate commerce clause of the U.S. Constitution to regulate guns because they can so easily be transported across state lines.

Guns and states’ rights both play well in Montana, the birthplace of the right-wing Freemen militia and a participant in the Sagebrush Rebellion of the 1970s and ’80s, during which Western states clashed with Washington over grazing and mineral extraction on federal land.

Montana’s leading gun rights organization, more hard-core than the National Rifle Association, boasts it has moved 50 bills through the Legislature over the past 25 years. And lawmakers in the Big Sky State have rebelled against federal control of everything from wetland protection to the national Real ID system.

Under the new law, guns intended only for Montana would be stamped “Made in Montana.” The drafters of the law hope to set off a legal battle with a simple Montana-made youth-model single-shot, bolt-action .22 rifle. They plan to find a “squeaky clean” Montanan who wants to send a note to the ATF threatening to build and sell about 20 such rifles without federal dealership licensing.

If the ATF tells them it’s illegal, they will sue and take the case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, if they can.

Similar measures have also been introduced in Texas and Alaska.

“I think states have got to stand up or else most of their rights are going to be buffaloed by the administration and by Congress,” said Texas state Rep. Leo Berman.

Critics say exempting guns from federal laws anywhere would undermine efforts to stem gun violence everywhere.

“Guns cross state lines and they do so constantly, and this is a Sagebrush Rebellion-type effort to light some sort of fire and get something going that’s pleasing to the gun nuts and that has very little actual sense,” said Peter Hamm, communications director for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

In a 2005 case, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the enforcement of federal laws against marijuana in California, even if the drug is for medical purposes and is grown and used within the state. The court found that since marijuana produced in California is indistinguishable from pot grown outside the state, the federal government must have the authority to regulate both to enforce national drug laws.

Randy Barnett, the lawyer and constitutional scholar who represented the plaintiff in the California case, said that Montana could argue that its “Made in Montana”-stamped guns are unique and sufficiently segregated as to lie outside federal regulation.

Supporters of the measure say the main purpose is not extending gun freedoms, but curbing what they regard as an oppressive interpretation of the interstate commerce clause and federal overreach into such things as livestock management and education.

“Firearms are inextricably linked to the history and culture of Montana, and I’d like to support that,” said Montana state Rep. Joel Boniek, the bill’s sponsor. “But I want to point out that the issue here is not about firearms. It’s about state rights.”

Gov Brian Schweitzer on the new MT gun law

I will be one of the first to admit Schweitzer isn't top of my list of favorite people in the world, BUT when Bozeman had the gas explosion he was here didn't go to a renaming ceremony he was scheduled to be at, he went to where there was a tragedy. And now he did what is right not maybe his political counterparts said he should do...he did was was right for the people of Montana. For this I say thank you Brian for not letting your own political agenda get in the way just because you are democrat, but looked out for our state, please continue to do so.

“It’s a gun bill, but it’s another way of demonstrating the sovereignty of the state of Montana,” Democrat Schweitzer said.

House Bill 246, the Montana-made gun bill, cleared the Legislature easily before reaching the governor’s desk.

Its supporters next plan to find a “squeaky clean” Montanan who wants to send a note to the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives threatening to build and sell about 20 rifles without federal dealership licensing. If the ATF says it’s illegal, the gun bill’s backers plan to file a lawsuit in federal court with the goal of launching a legal showdown that lands in the U.S. Supreme Court.

The Montana Shooting Sports Association, which drafted the bill, has said it will raise the money to pay for any legal costs.

“It doesn’t cost us any money and I like guns,” Schweitzer said after signing the bill.

“I like big guns, I like little guns, I like pistols, I like rifles, and I would like to buy a gun that’s made in Montana,” Schweitzer said.

Montana Firearms Freedom Act

WOOHOO WTG MONTANA!!!!

Ok now that I said that. and noticing there isn't a lot of national news on our new fabulous law yes I am blogging on it so there is more in the google search! Yes I am pleased with the new Montana law it is needed to protect our states citizens from the Federal Government's BS anti gun laws trying to be passed. I hear Texas is in the process of passing similar law to our new gun law here in MT. I am pleased to hear this since TX is my birth state and a pending state in which we could end up in for medical attn for our daughter. Too bad they don't have permn license plate options like we have here in MT.

Now I am sure there are many upset over our new law, but guess what....MT does not want people like you here in our state! If you want the Fed running your life go back to CA,NY,MA or DC. MT wants people that take responsibility for their own lives and defense! If you want to be sheep, go ahead. We aren't the only state with this law others are now pending...Montana just happened to have the balls to go first! Now if the rest of the state legislatures will stand up and be counted, maybe the nuts in Washington will begin to get the message and be backed down..Obama is forcing a revolution as much as he is pushing this recession into full swing. This law re-affirms the 2nd, 9th and 10th amendments.

The state of Montana has signed into power a revolutionary gun law. I mean REVOLUTIONARY.

The State of Montana has defied the federal government and their gun laws. This will prompt a showdown between the federal government and the State of Montana . The federal government fears citizens owning guns. They try to curtail what types of guns they can own. The gun control laws all have one common goal - confiscation of privately owned firearms. I am guessing this is one of those challenges Obama is not liking;0)

Montana has gone beyond drawing a line in the sand. They have challenged the Federal Government. The fed now either takes them on and risks them saying the federal agents have no right to violate their state gun laws and arrest the federal agents that try to enforce the federal firearms acts. This will be a world-class event to watch.

Montana could go to voting for secession from the union, which is really throwing the gauntlet in Obama's face. If the federal government does nothing they lose face. Gotta love it...win win in Montana's court.

Important Points - If guns and ammunition are manufactured inside the State of Montana for sale and use inside that state then the federal firearms laws have no applicability since the federal government only has the power to control commerce across state lines. Montana has the law on their side. Since when did the USA start following their own laws especially the constitution of the USA , the very document that empowers the USA .

Silencers made in Montana and sold in Montana would be fully legal and not registered. Now this was added in there more as a political issue I am sure as the law even mentions the screws and such to hold the gun together. I laughed at first, but then realized they were trying to cover all gray areas the best they could. Silencers were useful tools for gun enthusiasts and hunters.

There would be no firearm registration, serial numbers, criminal records check, waiting periods or paperwork required. So in a short period of time there would be millions and millions of unregistered untraceable guns in Montana . Way to go Montana! I am sure just like the no speed limit we use to have regulations will be put into affect at some point for guidelines so to speak.

Let us see what Obama does. If he hits Montana hard they will probably vote to secede from the USA. The governor of Texas has already been refusing Federal money because he does not want to agree to the conditions that go with it and he has been saying secession is a right they have as sort of a threat. Things are no longer the same with the USA. Do not be deceived by Obama acting as if all is the same, it is not.

Text of the New Law

HOUSE BILL NO. 246

INTRODUCED BY J. BONIEK, BENNETT, BUTCHER, CURTISS, RANDALL, WARBURTON

AN ACT EXEMPTING FROM FEDERAL REGULATION UNDER THE COMMERCE CLAUSE OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES A FIREARM, A FIREARM ACCESSORY, OR AMMUNITION MANUFACTURED AND RETAINED IN MONTANA; AND PROVIDING AN APPLICABILITY DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

Section 1. Short title. [Sections 1 through 6] may be cited as the "Montana Firearms Freedom Act".

Section 2. Legislative declarations of authority. The legislature declares that the authority for [sections 1 through 6] is the following:
(1) The 10th amendment to the United States constitution guarantees to the states and their people all powers not granted to the federal government elsewhere in the constitution and reserves to the state and people of Montana certain powers as they were understood at the time that Montana was admitted to statehood in 1889. The guaranty of those powers is a matter of contract between the state and people of Montana and the United States as of the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889..
(2) The ninth amendment to the United States constitution guarantees to the people rights not granted in the constitution and reserves to the people of Montana certain rights, as they were understood at the time that Montana was admitted to statehood in 1889. The guaranty of those rights is a matter of contract between the state and people of Montana and the United States as of the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889.
(3) The regulation of intrastate commerce is vested in the states under the 9th and 10th amendments to the United States constitution, particularly if not expressly preempted by federal law. Congress has not expressly preempted state regulation of intrastate commerce pertaining to the manufacture on an intrastate basis of firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition.
(4) The second amendment to the United States constitution reserves to the people the right to keep and bear arms as that right was understood at the time that Montana was admitted to statehood in 1889, and the guaranty of the right is a matter of contract between the state and people of Montana and the United States as of the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889.(5) Article II, section 12, of the Montana constitution clearly secures to Montana citizens, and prohibits government interference with, the right of individual Montana citizens to keep and bear arms. This constitutional protection is unchanged from the 1889 Montana constitution, which was approved by congress and the people of Montana, and the right exists, as it was understood at the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Montana and the United States in 1889.

Section 3. Definitions. As used in [sections 1 through 6], the following definitions apply:
(1) "Borders of Montana" means the boundaries of Montana described in Article I, section 1, of the 1889 Montana constitution.
(2) "Firearms accessories" means items that are used in conjunction with or mounted upon a firearm but are not essential to the basic function of a firearm, including but not limited to telescopic or laser sights, magazines, flash or sound suppressors, folding or aftermarket stocks and grips, speedloaders, ammunition carriers, and lights for target illumination.
(3) "Generic and insignificant parts" includes but is not limited to springs, screws, nuts, and pins.
(4) "Manufactured" means that a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition has been created from basic materials for functional usefulness, including but not limited to forging, casting, machining, or other processes for working materials.

Section 4. Prohibitions. A personal firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured commercially or privately in Montana and that remains within the borders of Montana is not subject to federal law or federal regulation, including registration, under the authority of congress to regulate interstate commerce. It is declared by the legislature that those items have not traveled in interstate commerce. This section applies to a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured in Montana from basic materials and that can be manufactured without the inclusion of any significant parts imported from another state. Generic and insignificant parts that have other manufacturing or consumer product applications are not firearms, firearms accessories, or ammunition, and their importation into Montana and incorporation into a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition manufactured in Montana does not subject the firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition to federal regulation. It is declared by the legislature that basic materials, such as unmachined steel and unshaped wood, are not firearms, firearms accessories, or ammunition and are not subject to congressional authority to regulate firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition under interstate commerce as if they were actually firearms, firearms accessories, or ammunition. The authority of congress to regulate interstate commerce in basic materials does not include authority to regulate firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition made in Montana from those materials. Firearms accessories that are imported into Montana from another state and that are subject to federal regulation as being in interstate commerce do not subject a firearm to federal regulation under interstate commerce because they are attached to or used in conjunction with a firearm in Montana.

Section 5. Exceptions. [Section 4] does not apply to:
(1) A firearm that cannot be carried and used by one person;
(2) A firearm that has a bore diameter greater than 1 1/2 inches and that uses smokeless powder, not black powder, as a propellant;
(3) ammunition with a projectile that explodes using an explosion of chemical energy after the projectile leaves the firearm; or
(4) a firearm that discharges two or more projectiles with one activation of the trigger or other firing device.

Section 6. Marketing of firearms. A firearm manufactured or sold in Montana under [sections 1 through 6] must have the words "Made in Montana" clearly stamped on a central metallic part, such as the receiver or frame.

Section 7. Codification instruction. [Sections 1 through 6] are intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 30, and the provisions of Title 30 apply to [sections 1 through 6].

Section 8. Applicability. [This act] applies to firearms, firearms accessories, and ammunition that are manufactured, as defined in [section 3], and retained in Montana after October 1, 2009.

Specter Intends to Switch Political Parties

My guess is he has been nothing more than a RHINO anyhow and never truly conservative!

Specter Intends to Switch Political Parties

Sources say veteran GOP Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania intends to switch parties .

Veteran GOP Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania intends to switch political parties and run in the Democratic primary in 2010, FOX News has confirmed.

"I deeply regret that I will be disappointing many friends and supporters," Specter said in prepared remarks to be delivered at a news conference on Tuesday.

"I can understand their disappointment," he continued. "I am also disappointed that so many in the party I have worked for for more than four decades do not want me to be their candidate. It is very painful on both sides."

The switch puts Democrats within two votes of a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. Democrats currently hold 56 seats in the Senate, and two independents typically vote with the party. Republicans have 41 seats, and there is one vacancy.

Let's Get Janet Napolitano FIRED!

As you've probably heard, DHS has issued a report entitles 'Rightwing Extremism' that shamelessly characterizes you and me as potential security threats and takes a particularly dim view of our military personnel and veterans. Worst of all, every time Secretary Napolitano opens her mouth on the topic, she digs the hole deeper and proves she's more interested in surveiling tea partiers and our troops than true terrorists!

That's why we at Move America Forward have launched a petition to demand that Barack Obama FIRE her which you can find online here: http://tinyurl.com/dkxxj9 Please sign the petition, spread the word far and wide and stay tuned as we put the heat on her for her outrageous statements and her completely backward approach to security.

In case you're not familiar with the story, here's the NY Post's coverage of the controversial report's treatment of our veterans: http://tinyurl.com/c69nob
Plus WSJ reports that Vets have already been a target of an FBI 'extremism' probe since February: http://tinyurl.com/ckbhb6
And yesterday Napolitano went on TV to portray our military as victims being duped: http://tinyurl.com/c9ereh
To see these stories and more as they're breaking, you can follow us on twitter here: http://twitter.com/M_A_F

Secondly and as always, we need to keep growing this group. People have been doing a great job of reaching out and our numbers have been steadily climbing, but we need to make sure we keep it up and keep expanding our reach, especially with such important projects and great challenges on the horizon.

Thanks again for being in the fight. Let's get out there and make them hear us! Get this passed on to all your friends that see the light:0)

Questions this fine evening!

Actress Janine Garafolo calls us "Racists" so I have a question errr several questions. (OH And I laugh everytime Obama's name is typed on my computer his name is not recognized by the spellchecker so is always underslined in red....its great- I don't correct it because it is the only humor I can find in this man)

QUESTION(s): I would love to know how many OBAMA SUPPORTERS have become "RACISTS" like us? How many people who VOTED FOR OBAMA ARE NOW "ONE OF US"?

How many people who VOTED FOR Obama are now some of the tea party protesters? That is what I mean.

I wonder how many within the black communities are now starting to understand that they were LIED TO and used to get him elected. That is a sad thing to find out after you put all of your heart and soul into a candidate.

for believing in the constitution we are now RACISTS? How-- Out-ra-geous!!! But ok guess I will take the title because more and more I feel like I hate everyone equally so call me a racist I don't care! It is getting harder and harder to know who you can trust, who is or is not lying, cheating and stealing from you. Animals don't lie to you...if the screwed up they know it and they tell you in their ways. They love you unconditionally think it is time to go back to the animal kingdom to live.

Napolitana Insults our Troops/Vets

What is this a to our troops of YUCK FOU very much???? Well I for one want to say THANK YOU to these brave men and women, to their families for the tough times I know they endure being away from their loved ones. AND my photography business offers a 25% discount to ALL current military.

OBAMA’S TOP SECURITY OFFICER INSULTS VETS
FBI PROBES RETURNING VETS FOR ‘EXTREMISM’

Napolitano should be fired!
Our troops don’t deserve this treatment!

Just when you think the Obama Administration cannot get any worse on national security, the blockbusters news breaks that they want law enforcement to scrutinize our returning military heroes for being right wing terrorist extremists. How outrageous! Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano should be FIRED for issuing such an outrageous report.

As if Eric Holder’s “nation of cowards” comment was not bad enough, now more officials of Obama’s administration are fomenting public outrage with divisive and anti-military views on ugly display for the whole country to see. Now Janet Napolitano’s department is under fire for asserting that our troops are likely candidates for domestic terrorism!

The Department of Homeland Security issued a report to its agents, advising them to be on the lookout for right-wing extremists to become violent and possibly commit terrorists acts and even goes so far as to allege that our TROOPS RETURNING FROM IRAQ will likely join these extremist groups. You can read in full text here

And now the Wall Street Journal is even reporting that our military heroes returning from Iraq and Afghanistan have been a target of a special FBI probe into ‘extremism’ since February!

Please help us defend our patriotic veterans and our military’s good name.

The Obama has been appointing far-left wing extremists to key posts at the Pentagon and the State Department, but want law enforcement to check out our returning military men and women. This is a total insult to the troops and to every American that appreci
ates the sacrifice of our military in protecting our security and freedom against Islamic terrorism.

The DHS report also defines “right wing extremism” as “groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as immigration or abortion.” What about supporting our troops and their missions? Move America Forward is dedicated to that single issue, so under that definition, they are lumping vets and pro-troop groups like ours together with hate groups like the Aryan Nation!

This is outrageous!

Janet Napolitano, the former Governor of Arizona who was appointed with much controversy to the office of Homeland Security Secretary, ought to be fired in shame for allowing this report to be published!

One excerpt from the offending report…

It comes as no surprise to Move America Forward that under Napolitano’s leadership, that the DHS is now suspicious of our own military men and women instead of the real threats posed by jihadists; we have been disturbed by Napolitano’s views ever since she was confirmed. In Napolitano’s first testimony to congress as DHS Secretary, she failed to even MENTION terrorism or 9/11even ONCE.

How can Homeland Security protect the citizens from the greatest threat, radical Islamic terrorism, if the director of the department refuses to even recognize it? When Napolitano was asked why she refused to talk about terror, she responded

“In my speech, although I did not use the word “terrorism,” I referred to “man-caused” disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear…”

If that’s right, that it’s not terrorism, but man-caused disasters, maybe we should respond with FEMA not the ARMY!

Napolitano should resign immediately or be fired for allowing this shameful
report to pass through the Department of Homeland Security.

Janet Napolitano clearly does not understand the War on Terror, our troops’ mission, and obviously she does not respect their professionalism or their sacrifices because she allowed this horrible report to be published. Many veterans groups are outraged including the American Legion, and we agree with them that Napolitano is way off base.

She tried to apologize yesterday during an interview with CNN where she said “I apologize for that offense. It certainly was not intended.” But she never admitted that the department was wrong to characterize vets as violent, extremist, and racist! And she didn’t explain why the FBI is intentionally probing our veterans as potential threats. ( http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/04/16/Napolitano-apologizes-for-extremism-report/UPI-66131239896833/ )

MAF believes that Janet Napolitano should be fired and we WILL WORK to that end, but we need your help! Napolitano is NOT the only disturbing pick Obama has made, and it won’t be the last misjudgment, mischaracterization, insult to our troops, or dangerous policy that will come out of this administration!

MAF will always be on the forefront, protecting our troops’ honor in the press and supporting them in their missions against radical Islamic terrorists groups.
Please help us keep up the fight!

Your donation is tax deductible and is badly needed to help us keep
fighting the current administration’s undercutting our troops’ missions

Capt. Richard Phillips
Maersk Alabama Capt. Richard Phillips,
right, with Cmdr. Frank Castellano of the
USS Bainbridge, after being rescued.

WASHINGTON – While Barack Obama is basking in praise for his "decisive" handling of the Somali pirate attack on a merchant
ship in the India Ocean, reliable military sources close to the scene are painting a much different picture of the incident – accusing the president of employing restrictive rules of engagement that actually hampered the rescue of Capt. Richard Phillips and extended the drama at sea for days.
Multiple opportunities to free the captain of the Maersk Alabama from three young pirates were missed, these sources say – all because a Navy SEAL team was not immediately ordered to the scene and then forced to operate under strict, non-lethal rules of engagement.
They say the response duty office at the Pentagon was initially unwilling to grant an order to use lethal force to rescue Phillips. They also report the White House refused to authorize deployment of a Navy SEAL team to the location for 36 hours, despite the recommendation of the on-scene commander.
The White House also turned down two rescue plans offered up by the Seal commander on the scene and the captain of the USS Bainbridge.
The SEAL team operated under rules of engagement that required them to do nothing unless the hostage's life was in "imminent' danger.

In fact, when the USS Bainbridge dispatched a rigid-hull inflatable boat to bring supplies to the Maersk Alabama, it came under fire that could not be returned even though the SEAL team had the pirates in their sights.
Many hours before the fatal shots were fired, taking out the three young pirates, Phillips jumped into the Indian Ocean with the idea of giving the snipers a clear target. However, the SEAL team was still under orders not to shoot.
Hours later, frustrated by the missed opportunities to resolve the standoff, the commander of the Bainbridge and the captain of the Navy SEAL team determined they had operational authority to evaluate the risk to the hostage, and took out the pirates at the first opportunity – finally freeing Phillips.

So Now they want your Pets too??? H.R. 669

Hearing Slated For Nonnative Species Ban

On April 23, 2009, a hearing is scheduled on H.R. 669, a ban on nonnative species.

A Congressional subcommittee has scheduled a hearing for legislation that could effectively ban ownership of thousands of nonnative species in the United States, including most reptiles, birds, fish and several mammals (hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and ferrets) commonly kept as pets.

The legislation currently exempts dogs, cats, horses, goldfish (Carassius auratus auratus) and a variety of farm animals, all of which are also not native to the United States.

The House Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Insular Affairs, Oceans and Wildlife has scheduled a hearing on House Resolution 669 for April 23, 2009.

Tea Party Bozeman, MT

Below is our video slideshow of photos. I didn't put music to it yet. We decided the snow falling was Mother Natures confetti or maybe her way of saying she wanted a bailout as well;0) The turnout was AWESOME and proud to have been apart of it. The kids thought it was way cool to go be apart of something major. They had a blast and were happy to be there but got cold so we left about an hour or so into it, but was a huge part of history that they witnessed in person and only lasted as long as they did because they kept reminding themselves many soldiers have gone thru worse and even died for us. Finally soaked thru boots got the better of them and they couldn't endure any more so we walked the several blocks back to our truck and drove back thru to honk our support.

http://www.rotundareport.com/ I just received this link via email from the Helena group.

updated Tea Party info

Today is the BIG Tea Party Day!! If you are in Helena it will be held in front of the Capitol; Bozeman~Bozeman Public Library located at 626 E. Main St. and marching West to the Downtown County Court house at 411 E. Main St. Both locations are from noon until 2 p.m. http://taxdayteaparty.com/teaparty/montana/ for further info. Want to make your own signs here is a link with slogan ideas.

Hello Neighbors and friends,

I would recommend we keep ourselves on task with this movement and ensure that we focus on the true issues. In Billings, the Gazette indicated that the tea party is a tax protest. We must emphasize that we are not against taxes, unless they are without representation, and we are not against government, unless the leaders are either tyrants or believe in and promote anarchy. These were the issues our founding fathers designed the constitution to counter. The founders could not have seen the future of technological development, but they did have a thorough understanding of human greed, avarice, jealousy, and selfish ambition. The constitution was designed to counter these, as was Jefferson’s plan for education. We must emphasize what we are for, not what we are against. We are for government that is wise, virtuous, honorable, and trustworthy. We are for responsible spending. We are for the virtues of honor, integrity, hard work, personal responsibility, reverence, life-long learning, thrift, and civility. We must emphasize this group is made up of responsible citizens that belong to all financial walks of life, all political parties, and all religious backgrounds. This movement is made of we the people of the United States that want responsible government and not the corruption we have seen with all political parties. We must emphasize that we are a republic, not a democracy or socialist nation. We are here to protect our republic from irresponsible leaders who believe the ruling class is better than the governed. In other words, we believe in each other and the potential each of us possess and do not believe we need someone to tell us how to live because we are and have the ability to be and pass on a wise and virtuous populace.

Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed bill is working HR1207

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Your outspoken support for Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed bill is working!

The politicians are taking notice, and already 55 of them have signed on as co-sponosors to HR 1207. There has even been a companion bill introduced in the Senate. This is great news!

Now is the time to push harder!

Dr. Paul recently spoke about the gathering momentum of this movement, and he is optimistic that this bill really can pass. Please take a minute to listen to him in the video linked below.

http://www.campaignforliberty.com/campaigns/hr1207.php

As you can see, Dr. Paul is enthusiastic about our chances, and his spirits are really buoyed by the outpouring of grassroots support.

It is essential that our government operate with as much transparency as possible, now more than ever. But the Federal Reserve’s operations remain shrouded in secrecy.

When people found out that Congress had quietly appropriated millions for AIG bonuses, people were outraged.

Imagine their reaction when they hear about the TRILLIONS the Fed has secretly been sending to Wall Street!

If you have not already done so, it is vital that you sign the petition urging your Congressman to cosponsor the Audit the Fed bill. The thousands already signed up have shown that your voice really can move Congress to act.

Even if you have already signed the petition, there is still more you can do to help. Forward this e-mail to your friends and encourage them to get on board and sign the petition. This is a winning effort and your friends won’t want to miss out.

Campaign for Liberty will be matching the overwhelming activity of the grassroots. We will be gathering hundreds of thousands more petitions and lobbying Congressmen on the fence. A few days before the vote, if we have the resources, we plan to run hard-hitting targeted newspaper, radio and TV ads.

Such a massive effort won’t be easy – or cheap.

So in addition to signing your petition or forwarding this e-mail to a friend, I also hope you will make a contribution of $25, $50 or $100 to Campaign for Liberty.

Listen to how encouraged Dr. Paul is already. He’s been seeing the inaction in Congress for years, so he should know when the politicians are beginning to wake up.

Let’s reward his hard work by helping pass his momentous bill that will change our monetary system forever.

To make that milestone possible, please click here to donate to Campaign for Liberty. Your contribution of $25, $50, $100 – or even more – will allow us to ramp up the efforts that have Dr. Paul so optimistic.

We can do this, but we need your help.

Campaign for Liberty can’t just print money out of thin air like the out of control Federal Reserve. Only your voluntary contributions permit us to do this work.

So please, listen to Dr. Paul talking about the progress we’ve made, forward this e-mail to a friend, and make a generous contribution to Campaign for Liberty to help make this bill a reality.

In Liberty,

John Tate
President,
Campaign for Liberty

P.S. Ron Paul’s Audit the Fed bill now has 55 cosponsors and is still gaining momentum! Click here to hear how encouraged Dr. Paul is with the flood of petitions on Capitol Hill, and how optimistic he is about this bill’s chances.

If you haven’t done so already, please click here to sign the petition urging your Congressman to cosponsor H.R. 1207. And please make a generous contribution of $25, $50, or $100 so Campaign for Liberty can afford to give this bill the tireless support it deserves.

More GM government takeover stuff

WARRANTY ENTITLEMENT?

By
Neal Boortz
Starting today the United States government will stand behind your warranty. That means that the United States taxpayers are guaranteeing your warranty. Excuse me, but doesn't this take some type of legislation? How does the president suddenly decide that all GM, Ford and Chrysler warranties are to be guaranteed by taxpayers?

Excuse me .. and I know that this is old fashioned thinking ... but I don't seem to remember the congress passing a law saying that the taxpayers could guarantee automobile warranties for a select number of owners. Maybe Herman Cain was doing my show that day. But .. Barack is King right now .. and all he really has to do is say it, and it's law.

Wait! There's more! Aren't we going to have to establish a grand new government bureaucracy to handle all of these warranties? And once that government bureaucracy is established, how many of you think it will ever be dissolved? How many of you think that we will ever reach the point where warranties on cars manufactured in America aren't guaranteed by the taxpayers? Who is going to set the warranty terms? The government or the automakers? Will we have politicians campaigning on the promise to extend and expand car warranties? How about "If you vote for so-and-so, you're going to have to pay to repair your own car."

We are seeing the beginning of a grand new entitlement program here.

AUTO INDUSTRY VS. WALL STREET

We are seeing a real divide starting to unfold. Again. After yesterday's "tough love" from the Obama administration ... auto workers are now complaining that the Obama administration treated auto workers worse than Wall Street. Maybe that's because the United Auto Workers presents more of a threat to the automobile makers than Wall Street Does. I'm really a little tired of whining from auto workers. If they had been a bit more concerned about the continuing health of their employers.
Yesterday we got Obama's official plan for the auto industry. Step #1: Fire the CEO of General Motors. Step #2: Push Chrysler toward a merger with an Italian car company. Step #3: Threaten bankruptcy for both companies. Wall Street didn't seem to like the administration's response. The Dow responded remarkably ... sinking nearly 4%. I guess I would have lost confidence too, if I realized that the government could oust any CEO at will if the president thinks it is the right thing to do. In fact, some experts are saying that this is the most significant presidential intervention in the private sector since 1952 and Harry Truman with the steel industry.

So it is clearly Obama's goal to re-make the auto industry the way he wants it to be, not based on profitability or the demand of the market place. He says, "I am absolutely committed to working with Congress and the auto companies to meet one goal: The United States of America will lead the world in building the next generation of clean cars ... our auto industry is not moving in the right direction fast enough to succeed." In other words .. Obama gets to decide the right direction. Instead of making cars that the consumers want, Obama will decree that the automakers will make cars that HE wants. If they don't move in that direction fast enough he'll just fire one team and hire another.

Well it turns out that this is a direction that Barack Obama has envisioned for a while .. and like his chief of staff says, "never let a good crisis go to waste." In Obama's 2006 autobiography, The Audacity Of Hope, here's what he had to say about his vision for the auto industry: The bottom line is that fuel-efficient cars and alternative fuels like E85, a fuel formulated with 85 percent ethanol, represent the future of the auto industry. It is a future American car companies can attain if we start making some tough choices now. For years U.S. automakers and the UAW have resisted higher fuel-efficiency standards because retooling costs money, and Detroit is already struggling under huge retiree health-care costs and stiff competition. So during my first year in the Senate I proposed legislation I called "Health Care for Hybrids." The bill makes a deal with U.S. automakers: In exchange for federal financial assistance in meeting the health-care costs of retired autoworkers, the Big Three would reinvest these savings into developing more fuel-efficient vehicles.

http://sweetness-light.com/archive/what-obama-wants-for-the-auto-industry

Aggressively investing in alternative fuel sources can also lead to the creation of thousands of new jobs. Ten or twenty years down the road, that old Maytag plant in Galesburg could reopen its doors as a cellulosic ethanol refinery. Down the street, scientists might be busy in a research lab working on a new hydrogen cell. And across the way, a new auto company could be busy churning out hybrid cars. The new jobs created could be filled by American workers trained with new skills and a world-class education, from elementary school to college. It seems as though Obama is doing a real good job of selling a crisis as a means to institute his vision of the automotive industry. Are you comfortable with this? In fact .. are you comfortable with this level of government enterprise in the marketplace?

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/Beyond-AIG-A-Bill-to-let-Big-Government-Set-Your-Salary-42158597.html

I'm think that there's a nagging thought with many of you that this has gone entirely too far .. and that our markets might have self-corrected if the government had let this crisis run its course. And .. if you've been paying attention you should know that this crisis wouldn't have happened .. and it certainly would have been less severe if Barney Frank hadn't stood in the way of efforts of people like George Bush and John McCain to intervene in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac years ago.

BAILOUT DELUXE: FRANK WANTS CONTROLS ON PAY OF ALL EMPLOYEES...

This is something, isn't it? Obama replaces the GM boss, but Barney Frank - the one individual who carries more of the responsibility for this mess than any other single living human being -- seems to be untouchable.

READING ASSIGNMENTS

Thomas Sowell's column: "A Rookie President." Sowell says: "We now have a rookie President of the United States and, in the dangerous world we live in, with terrorist nations going nuclear, just one rookie mistake can bring disaster down on this generation and generations yet to come."

Apparently the New York Times "killed" a story that would have shown a close link between ACORN, Project Vote and the Obama campaign because it would have been a "a game changer" during the election. I'm shocked.

How are the Democrats planning to pay for healthcare reform? By imposing new energy taxes! New taxes? Now there's a novel idea!

Experts say that Barack Obama needs to be more mindful of his gaffes, as they will quickly erode his popularity.

Left-wing redistributionists seize the moment.

Congress is upset that they weren't consulted by Barack Obama about what to do with GM CEO Rick Wagoner.

Let the fighting in Washington begin over who is going to be in charge of setting up a carbon market. This is going to be one of the biggest government boondoggles of all time ... it will make Social Security look like hopscotch.

Our Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has delayed a series of proposed immigration raids lately. Is this a sign of things to come?

The Senate Minority Leader says that Obama's policies will lead to an "explosion of government" that the country didn't expect when they voted him into office .. was Mitch McConnell watching the same election? Because this is exactly what I thought Obama would do.

Florida is offering discount cards to try and promote local business and boost the state's economy.

California wants to ban plasma televisions that use too much energy.

In case you didn't know ... Barack Obama believes that North Dakota is experiencing flooding right now because of global warming. Hey .. he has a massive new government revenue program called "Carbon tax-and-trade" to sell.

Obama takes over the auto industry

I have read a couple of blogs.... the news etc and really disturbs me that this man can just oust someone in a private firm. He had been with the company over 30 yrs so what did they offer him for him to say "oh ok here you go". You do know now GM is doomed by this government take over right???

Lets take a minute and ponder a few recent events:

First, Obama fired GM's senior executive: "Rick Wagoner is stepping aside as Chairman and CEO... it will take a new vision and new direction to create the GM of the future."

Next, Obama created government-backed warranties for all GM cars: "...if you buy a car from Chrysler or General Motors, you will be able to get your car serviced and repaired, just like always. Your warranty will be safe... In fact, it will be safer than it's ever been. Because starting today, the United States government will stand behind your warranty."

And Obama will decide what kind of cars GM will build: "...several members of Congress have proposed an even more ambitious incentive program to increase car sales... [such a program would] provide a generous credit to consumers who turn in old, less fuel efficient cars and purchase cleaner cars have been successful in boosting auto sales in a number of European countries." Look at history people seriously GM is going to die...good thing we drive Ford!

But he claims the U.S. government won't be running GM: "Let me be clear: the United States government has no interest or intention of running GM."

Now that's change... we can believe in a 2 faced lying politician that shouldn't be in the white house in the first place!

We must get this message out and declare political war on Obama and his crude, rude, hostile, anti-Traditional Values America at a very early date. His ratings are dropping anyhow so how many of you that voted for him now regretting it is willing to come to our side...we have cookies:0) I will even bake them for ya!

2010 is coming up ... let's start scoring some big victories!

Oh and you know what this really means for FORD it now stands for: First On Revolution Day! Lets keep Ford independent They don't need Obama's money, They shouldn't want Obama's money and GM takeover is a good example as to why!

GM CEO forced to resign by NObama

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0309/20625.html

The Obama administration asked Rick Wagoner, the chairman and CEO of General Motors, to step down and he agreed, a White House official said.

On Monday, President Obama is to unveil his plans for the auto industry, including a response to a request for additional funds by GM and Chrysler. The plan is based on recommendations from the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry, headed by the Treasury Department.

The White House confirmed Wagoner was leaving at the government's behest after The Associated Press reported his immediate departure, without giving a reason.

The surprise announcement about the classically iconic American corporation is perhaps the most vivid sign yet of the tectonic change in the relationship between business and government in this era of subsidies and bailouts.

Soooo....Let's get this straight, Palin got a political witch hunt so to speak because she asked an employee of her own government to step down.

NObama gets a pass for asking an employee of a private firm to step down? Is this fascism at its best, who chooses the new CEO?? So in exchange do we get Pelosi and Reid to resign?

I tell ya this man scares me and doesn't seem like he is going to stop at any length.
